Rangers (Blue) 6 Needham Phoenix "A" 4

The Gers kicked off their first ever match in front of a huge and expectant crowd. The crowd were soon silenced when Needham took a two goal early lead thanks to a bit of stage fright from the blue and white hoops.

Not at all daunted by a two goal deficit Needham's lead was halved when ZAC KING'S fierce shot was simply too hot for the keeper to handle, sending the crowd delerious as they witnessed the clubs first ever goal. Remember this as it will appear in Quiz questions in years to come!

The scores were level soon after when JORDAN CARTEY capitalised on a defencive mix up to tap home the simpliest of goals. The 'Gers then went behind again with Needham this time the benefactors of some slack defending but the large crowd were soon happy again when ANDREW LYNETTE'S shot with his first touch of the game finished off a fine move. Half Time 3-3

The second half kicked off with Zac King attempting to beat the keeper from his own half only to see his audicious effort hit the post only for Ryan Last who had done well to react first but guided his shot just wide. ZAC KING then put the hoops in front with a well taken goal. Confidence was high with every player impressing but chances did go begging and Needham punished the Royals with an equaliser against the run of play that Cameron Bailey could not stop.

JORDAN CARTEY then let fly with a left foot thunderbolt to give him a brace and Rangers fifth. The sixth goal was an absolute beauty and certainly the best of the game when KYLE BIRCHFIELD bent in an inch perfect shot into the top right hand corner. FULL TIME 'Gers 6 - Needham 4

Links On Website and donations

You will see on our links page various companies, many of those have kindly donated items for our launch day. The response we have had has been fantastic and we are very grateful. If you have anyone that might be able to help like this please let us know.

As you are aware the players are getting their player sponsors which again is great. Do have a browse as some might be useful for you to use and help support someone or a company that's supports our team. I can recommend the Rookery Farm Shop in Tattingstone where you can buy some lovely local produce!

Club merchandise and Players Sponsorship

You will see on Sunday the managers and coaches at the club will have club polo shirts, which are white. They will be on show at the launch day in Ocean blue which can be bought by anyone within the club. We also have keyrings and are looking into car stickers. If you think you might be interested in a car sticker let us know as its cheaper to buy in large order's. We hope in time to have a shop link so you will be able to see items we have with the team's logo on.

Player's Sponsorship !! If you have a sponsor for your child could you let me have the details as I can start to add all the information on to the website. If you are finding it difficult to obtain a sponsor then please let us know.
