Bury Tigers Vs Ivrfc U12s Blue
We had a 11:30 k.o today and for the second time in 3 weeks we found ourselves away to BURY TIGERS who are one of the best footballing teams in our league, and having lost a thrilling game in the league 2 weeks ago Ste Darren and the boys were looking forward to avenge our previous loss.
Unfortunately it looks like we might be without LEWIS for a while as it looks as though he has broken his toe on his other foot get well soon LEWIS, although the arrival of SAM to the team is a great boost.
The game started with Bury Tigers looking very dangerous controlling most of the play in the first 10 minutes resulting in them going 1-0 ahead from a corner, with a bit more communication on the pitch this easy goal could’ve been prevented.
After going behind the boys sparked into life and started to play some really nice football nobody more so than BRAD who had a rare start up front with TOM and took his chance with both hands and relished in the challenge, after a few half chances BRAD battling upfront managed to find JAY in the area who with very little room managed to muscle his way into a bit of space to find the back of the net 1-1 well done JAY game on.
HALF TIME 1-1
Coming in at half time 1-1 we were all fairly confident as the power seemed to have shifted to our side and having made our subs with JORDAN now up front with BRAD, TOM dropping in centre mid in place of KYLE and JACK coming on for LASTY on the left and REECE coming on for HOWSEY on right back we were looking to start the second half the way we finished the first.
The second half the boys really had their tails up and before too long BRAD found his way through on goal and with a composed finish put the boys in a deserved lead 1-2.
The boys got a real taste for goal and again it wasn’t long before TOM put on a great show to grab 2 goals for himself 1 with a beautiful free kick and the other a typical TOM goal given the keeper no chance 1-4 RANGERS, to top off another magnificent midfield performance LEE struck what has to be a strong contender for goal of the season leathering the ball from the half way line over everybody’s heads leaving the keeper stretching as far as possible but to no avail, UNBELEIVABLE goal !!!!!!! 1-5 RANGERS.
With about 10 minutes to go BURY somehow managed to score their 2nd of the day, 2-5.
There was some awesome football being played by the RANGERS BOYS, every single player worked their sock off and played a major part in the game its great to see a half of football when it all seems to just click.
There was some great performances from all the boys none more so than BRAD although not far behind him was SAM who formed a great partnership with the ever dependable ANDREW, JAY who seems to be getting better and better, and TOM who’s quality always shows in a match well done boys.
Well done to BRAD who got man of the match for a great performance upfront.
Well done to all the boys you should all be very proud of yourselves as both Darren Ste and the parents are!!
Training this week is KESGRAVE 6-7
We are away to NEEDHAM on the 28th FEB details will follow in the week.
