Tiny Rangers v Stow Town Under 8s
The Tiny Rangers took to the road to Visit Stow Town Under 8s in a friendly match. The Rangers took the game straight to Stow from the whistle and went close with a Harley Curtis effort, most of the play was being generated from the back Harris and Pullen playing some lovely balls into the midfield of Gissing,Boyle and curtis. It didnt take long for The Rangers to take the lead Curtis finding a gap in the Stow defence and with a postive run and low shot gave the keeper no chance. Straight from the re-start Boyle worked a good move with Scott to increase the lead,Boyle driving a low shot past the keeper.
Shortly after stow went on the counter attack and Pullen put in a fantastic tackle, hurting himself in the process but bravely got up and continued.
Goal of the match came shortly after Pullen and Harris passed out the defence to feed Gissing down the line,Zac then found Boyle who feed in an inch perfect pass for Curtis to side foot home.
Alfie Godbold in goal for the royals was at his best with a save from Stow's first effort on goal.
A few changes saw some fantastic tackles from Ryan Scott and wing place form Smith And Chambelain. Rangers played out the half keeping the hosts at bay.
Rangers attacked the Stow goal from kick off and Curtis went close to increase the lead.
Stow were having their best phase of the game and shots rained in on Godbold's goal but Alfie calmly collected all that was thrown at him. Rangers then increased the lead and a great move in the box found close range shots all saved by the stow keeper but the final rebound fell to Scott who slotted home finishing with a Drogba goal celebration.
Pearce started to pull the strings in the mid-field and made some great passes to the front 2 of Smith and Harris.
The defence kept Stow at bay again some great tackles from Farrow and Holland. Stow crashed a shot against the crossbar and shot just over from a free kick.
The game ended to a big cheer for all players Home and Away, a fantastic end to end match. Many thanks to Stow Town for having us and we look forward to having you at Greshams.
