Under 12 Ipswich Valley Rangers White V Thurston Sunday Jan 24th

Well what a break that was, not having a game since the defeat against the blues. But with secret training during the cold snap, the boys were ready and up for the task in hand. Bad news during the week about losing Jack and Matty. Thanks for all your hard work.during the course of the season .

With a new management team in place, with Richard Thorpe joining Mark at the helm. The boys have been training hard with new ideas in place. The game started with lots of pressure straight from the off, with a new formation.

The boys wanted every ball and battled for every tackle which was great to see. the reward for this was a goal within ten minutes when Damian Pearson let fly from eighteen yards straight into the corner of the net. it was soon to be two. We had a corner which was cleared and Ethan Flack was one of the men who stayed back, it came to him thirty yards out and just as i was about about to say what are you doing shooting from there the ball went over the keepers head and into the net. Wonderful effort what do i know.

Half time 2-0

Changes were made at half time due to injuries and the fact that the boys put in loads of effort in the 1st half. The two centre halfs John Goodchild and Kai Challis were looking solid at the back. the midfielders were controlling the midfield, which is a great achievment due to the fact that Elliot and Tom were sick all week. and as for the forwards its is great to see their desire back and wanting to get involved in everything. Team work was rewarded when Chase had a shot which hit Damian on the way through to increase our lead. Again Chase for the fourth goal weaved his magic for Georgi to score from at least a yard. our final goal of the game was a great team goal and Damian completed his Hat trick. Even at this stage Thurston never gave up and scored twice in the last five minutes, when we became sloppy and sat back. Must mention the four full backs in the the game who were also up and down the flank. Dan Johnson had his best game of the season. Well done lads we are back.
